Sussex have confirmed that Steve Magoffin has agreed a new contract with the club.
The 36-year-old's previous deal tied him to Hove until the end of the upcoming 2016 campaign.
However, under the fresh agreement, the experienced bowler has committed himself to Sussex until at least the conclusion of the 2017 season.
"It's great for me to commit again to Sussex. I've had four really enjoyable years here," he told the club's official website.
"I've loved every minute of it. Hopefully this coming season we can put a good performance together as a group and move back up a division, as well as doing well in white-ball cricket."
The Australia-born seamer was recently granted British citizenship, which means that he will now be regarded as a local player.
