Pakistani bowler Mohammad Amir admits that he was "treated really well" during a "very difficult" three-month prison sentence.

Pakistani cricket Mohammad Amir has revealed that he was "treated really well" during his time in prison for corruption.

The 19-year-old was released from Portland Prison in Dorset in January, having served half of his six-month sentence.

Speaking for the first time about his time behind bars, the bowler confessed that it was a "very difficult" few weeks.

"It's a very difficult time but I have support good people are boosting my morale," Amir told Sky Sports News.

"I have good people with me. Prison is not a good place for anyone and nobody would feel proud being there but I was treated really well in there."

It is not currently known whether or not Amir will be granted permission to play cricket again.
