The Pakistan Cricket Board have backed the England and Wales Cricket Board's decision to dismiss Dinesh Kaneria's appeal against corruption.
Kaneria was handed a lifetime ban a year ago for his part in a match-fixing scandal at Essex in 2009, and the PCB have now said that they will uphold it in their country.
"The ECB appeals panel has upheld the life ban on Kaneria and the PCB is bound to recognise, respect and enforce the ban in Pakistan," a statement said.
"PCB hopes that Kaneria will reflect on his past conduct and will now initiate efforts towards redemption and rehabilitation."
The ban being upheld in Pakistan effectively ends the 32-year-old's playing career.
