Great Britain have made it into the gold medal match for the mixed C1-5 team sprint.
Britain were the penultimate team and laid down a marker with a new world record time of 49.808s.
The world record did not last long though.
The Chinese team followed with a slightly quicker time of 49.804 to set up an intriguing final.
The British team consisted of Jon-Alln Butterworth, Darren Kenny and Richard Waddon, although teams are allowed to field female riders in the mixed competition.
The final is at 3.33pm this afternoon.
