Sir Bradley Wiggins has pulled out of the Stafford Grand Prix due to an "illness".
The race would have marked Wiggins's return to road cycling after breaking the hour record.
Wiggins, 35, had initially been part of Team Wiggins for the race.
"Unfortunately Sir Bradley will not be attending the Stafford Cycling Festival due to a slight illness. He wishes the team the best!" said a tweet on the team's Twitter.
Wiggins's next race might be in August at the 2015-16 Revolution Track Series at Derby Velodrome.
