Team Sky rider Mark Cavendish has followed up his victory in stage three of the Tour of Britain on Tuesday with first spot in stage four this afternoon.
The 27-year-old finished first ahead of second-placed Steele Vonhoff and third-placed Leigh Howard, while Russell Downing and Luke Rowe finished sixth and 10th respectively.
Stage four of the eight-stage race - where riders battled the weather - took the competitors 97 miles from Carlisle to Blackpool.
The world champion has taken the gold jersey from Howard, who won stage two on Monday.
