Jason Kenny wins men's sprint cycling gold for Team GB

Jason Kenny beats Gregory Bauge in the men's sprint cycling gold medal race.

Great Britain's Jason Kenny has beaten France's Gregory Bauge in the men's sprint cycling gold medal race in two heats.

Kenny won the first heat in a photo finish with a time of 10.232s after overtaking his French opponent around the final bend.

The second race showed the confidence of Kenny, going into the lead and holding it for the entire sprint lap with a time of 10.308s.

The bronze medal race also took just two heats, Shane Perkins of Australia beating Trinidad and Tobago's Njisane Nicholas Phillip.

The gold is Great Britain's 18th of the Games so far.
