Megan Giglia has got Great Britain off the mark at the Rio 2016 Paralympics with a gold medal in the women's C1-2-3 3000m individual pursuit.
The 31-year-old added to her two world titles from earlier this year by catching American Jamie Whitmore to come out on top at the Rio Olympic Velodrome.
Having broken her own world record before claiming gold, the Manchester native dominated the race and caught her opponent just over halfway to put Team GB on their way.
Giglia only made her debut on the international stage in 2015, two years after taking up the sport following a stroke suffered in January 2013.
Britain are guaranteed further success on Thursday evening when Dame Sarah Storey goes up against compatriot Crystal Lane, with the former aiming to pick up a record 12th gold.
