Michael van Gerwen has beaten reigning champion Phil 'The Power' Taylor 10-8 in the Premier League final at O2 Arena.
The Dutchman finished the round-robin stage of his debut season on top of the table and came back from 5-2 down to see off the 16-time world champion.
Van Gerwen sealed victory with a 132 finish on the bull and became just the fourth different champion in the event.
"After the Grand Prix this is my second [major tournament win] and I'm so pleased with this one," Van Gerwen told Sky Sports News.
"For me it was a very difficult beginning to the game. Phil played very well and didn't miss a thing.
"After the break I felt a bit better and started to up my game."
Phil Taylor beat Raymond van Barneveld 8-4 to reach the final, while Van Gerwen saw off James Wade in his semi-final.
