Michael van Gerwen has revealed that it "means a lot" to him to have won the UK Open.
The Dutchman had never previously triumphed in Minehead, but he broke his duck yesterday evening thanks to an 11-5 victory over Peter Wright.
"To win tournaments, that's the best thing in life. This is already my second major this year," he told ITV Sport.
"I've never won this tournament before and I always wanted to win this one. Last year I was in the semi-final, but I've never got further than that. This means a lot to me."
The 25-year-old also won The Masters earlier this year.
