The pairing of Phil Taylor and Adrian Lewis have helped England to a 3-2 victory over Scotland in the World Cup of Darts final in Frankfurt.
After Belgium and the Netherlands had been dispatched in the last four, Taylor got England off to a superb start as he whitewashed Peter Wright with an average of 113.
Gary Anderson, the 2015 world champion, responded for Scotland with a 4-1 win over Lewis but the English duo hit back to take the doubles encounter.
Taylor had the chance to wrap up the win for his country but Anderson produced his best performance of the tournament to run out a 4-1 victor against the 16-time world champion.
That left Lewis and Wright to do battle in the deciding match, but after quickly establishing a 3-0 lead, Lewis hit double 10 to secure a 4-1 triumph and earn England their third title in five tournaments.
