Gary Anderson won his first PDC ranking title in over two years on Sunday by beating Justin Pipe 6-5 in the final of the German Darts Championship.

The Scot, who overcame Glenn Spearing, Wayne Jones, Ian White and Ronnie Baxter en route to the final, was forced to come from 5-3 down against Pipe.

He registered a 12-darter to win the ninth leg, before taking the 10th with a double one after Pipe has missed the bullseye and two darts at double eight.

Pipe missed three more match darts in the deciding leg, before Anderson pinned double 10 to scoop the £20,000 first prize.
