Phil Taylor has overcome the challenge of Mensur Suljovic to reach the quarter-finals of the World Matchplay.
Suljovic was expected to pose a threat to the 15-time winner but he paid the price for a slow start as Taylor came through by an 11-5 scoreline.
Taylor will now face Mervyn King after the two-time Lakeside runner-up backed up Sunday's win over James Wade with an 11-8 triumph over Brendan Dolan.
