Michael van Gerwen has moved two points clear at the top of the Premier League standings after he recorded a 7-5 victory over Peter Wright.
The pair, who met in the 2014 PDC World Championship final in January, shared the opening four legs before Van Gerwen, motivated by Wright's showmanship in the fifth leg, swept into a 6-2 advantage.
Wright struck back with three successive legs and looked ready to secure a point before Van Gerwen took out a 128 checkout in the final leg to earn the win.
Elsewhere, Raymond van Barneveld drew 6-6 with Phil Taylor, despite holding 4-2 and 5-3 leads over the 16-time world champion, while Adrian Lewis and Dave Chisnall played out the same scoreline after a thrilling contest that saw 10 maximums hit in 12 legs.
Australia's Simon Whitlock will be eliminated after next week's fixtures after only drawing with Wes Newton, who had earlier succumbed to a 7-3 defeat to Gary Anderson.
