James Wade won the final three sets of his match with Gary Anderson to reach the World Grand Prix final in Dublin.
The left-hander, who had already hit a nine-darter and beat Phil Taylor before his encounter with the Scot, was facing a 3-1 deficit at the midway point of the contest.
However, Wade stormed through the next two sets before coming out on top in a last-leg decider to deny Anderson his first final in Ireland.
Michael van Gerwen will play Wade in Sunday's final after he whitewashed debutant Stephen Bunting.
Three of the four sets went the distance, but the world number one was clinical at the pivotal points of each set and fully deserved his chance to win a second Grand Prix crown.
