Arsenal Women midfielder Mana Iwabuchi has joined Tottenham Hotspur Ladies on loan from Arsenal for the remainder of the season.

The 29-year-old has struggled for regular action with Jonas Eidevall's side this term, playing just three games in the Women's Super League and two in the Women's Champions League.

Iwabuchi's three domestic appearances this season have come off the bench, and her only start came in a 3-1 Champions League win over FC Zurich on October 27, before she scored off the bench in a 9-1 thumping of the Swiss side last month.

Having fallen down the pecking order at Arsenal, the Japan international will spent the next few months at the Gunners' bitter rivals, less than two years after joining permanently from Aston Villa.

"Everyone at Arsenal would like to thank Mana for her contribution and wish her well for this next chapter in her career," Arsenal said in a statement.

Iwabuchi has six goals to boast from 28 outings in an Arsenal jersey, and she represented Hoffenheim and Bayern Munich before making the move to English football.

The 2011 World Cup winner joins Tottenham after the Lilywhites broke the WSL British transfer record to sign Bethany England from Chelsea for a reported £250,000.
