The summer transfer window has now closed, with Arsenal pulling off one of the standout deals on deadline day.

The Gunners triggered the release clause of Thomas Partey to cap off a relatively busy summer which saw the likes of Willian and Gabriel Magalhaes join too, and attention will now begin to turn to January.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings at the Emirates Stadium.

Manchester United were reportedly prepared to pay up to €50m (£45m) to sign Bayer Leverkusen attacker Moussa Diaby during the summer transfer window.

The 21-year-old enjoyed a productive 2019-20 campaign for Leverkusen, scoring eight times and contributing eight assists in 39 appearances in all competitions.

According to Bild, United identified Diaby as a possible transfer target over the summer, and the 20-time English champions were prepared to pay as much as €50m (£45m) to sign him.

However, the report claims that Leverkusen signalled that they were not prepared to sell the France Under-21 international due to his importance to the side.

Diaby, who has scored twice and registered one assist in nine outings at club level this term, has also previously been linked with Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund.

The left-sided attacker arrived at BayArena from Paris Saint-Germain in July 2019.

Arsenal face strong competition from AC Milan for Red Bull Salzburg attacking midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai, according to a report.

The Hungary international was repeatedly linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium in the summer on the back of an impressive 2019-20 campaign.

Szoboszlai has picked up from where he left off last term by scoring five times and providing seven assists in 10 appearances in all competitions.

Arsenal are believed to still be interested in signing the 20-year-old, but Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Milan are also desperate to strike a deal.

The Italian giants are said to have already had a couple of bids knocked back in the past for Szoboszlai, but they may now return with the €25m (£22.56m) offer that Salzburg are after.

RB Leipzig have also been tipped to move for Szoboszlai when the transfer window reopens in January.
