David Dein believes that there is no reason for Arsene Wenger to give up his role as manager at Arsenal this summer.

Former Arsenal vice-chairman David Dein believes that there is no reason for manager Arsene Wenger to step down from his role at the Emirates Stadium.

Rumours have rumbled over the course of the season that the Frenchman may consider leaving the North London outfit in the summer.

While Wenger has maintained that he will respect his contract, which expires next year, the 63-year-old has been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

"I think he has the fire in his belly," Dein told BBC Radio Five Live. "I don't see any reason why he shouldn't be there.

"He is one of the best managers in the world, he has been coaching for 30 years, he knows what he is doing, he knows what he wants and I think it's just a question of identifying the right talent."

Arsenal are currently two points adrift of fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League table.
