Arsene Wenger 'holds meeting with Arsenal players following Chelsea thrashing'

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger reportedly holds clear-the-air talks with his players following Saturday's humiliating defeat to Chelsea.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has reportedly held a clear-the-air meeting with his players following their heavy defeat to Chelsea.

The North London outfit were humiliated by their Premier League title rivals in a 6-0 loss at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Following the match, it is understood by the Irish Independent that Wenger held a meeting with the squad in a bid to rescue the Gunners' league campaign.

Despite the defeat, reports have claimed that Wenger remains likely to sign a new contract at the Emirates, but will not put pen to paper until the season is over.

Wenger has cancelled Monday's press conference ahead of Tuesday's match against Swansea City.
