Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says that Aaron Ramsey "will be a great captain for Wales".

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has stated that he believes Aaron Ramsey will become a great captain for Wales.

Wenger also revealed that he never doubted that the young midfielder would recover from his broken leg in 2010.

"I brought him in because of his quality. [What] people forget about Ramsey is that this is his first full season really," Wenger told Goal.com.

"He is a bit young to be a captain, because it is a massive responsibility for a player that age with the little experience he has. However, he can take pressure so he will grow very quickly in this role and he will be a great captain for Wales."

Arsenal travel to Swansea in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
