The agent of Romanian striker Ciprian Marica has claimed that his client is "close" to agreeing a move to Arsenal.
The 27-year-old is currently without a club following his release by German outfit Schalke 04 at the end of last season.
He has recently been linked with a switch to West Ham United, but his representative, Ioan Becali, believes that a move to the Emirates Stadium is in the offing.
"He's close to joining Arsenal, but we have to wait for the next week." Becali told Prosport.
Marica has made 63 appearances for Romainia at international level, scoring 22 goals in the process.
