Arsenal have reportedly missed out on the potential signing of Nantes midfielder Amine Harit.
The Gunners have been linked with a wide range of players since Arsene Wenger committed his future to the club for an extra two years, and it had been claimed that they were looking to bring in 20-year-old Harit after an impressive year in Ligue 1.
However, according to talkSPORT, Harit has instead decided to sign a four-year contract with Bundesliga club Schalke 04.
Last season, he made 30 appearances in Ligue 1 and his performances have seemingly convinced the German outfit to spend £7.75m on his signature.
Arsenal have made two just signings so far this summer, with Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette both penning deals at the Emirates Stadium, but Wenger is unlikely to conclude his transfer business without another major incoming.
AS Monaco duo Kylian Mbappe and Thomas Lemar have been heavily linked with a switch to North London, as has Riyad Mahrez from Leicester City.
