Arsenal target Belgian youngster?

Arsenal register an interest in signing Standard Liege striker Michy Batshuayi, according to the Belgium club's president.

Standard Liege president Roland Duchatelet has revealed that Arsenal are interested in signing striker Michy Batshuayi.

Batshuayi has already scored 20 goals for the Belgian side this season, but Duchatelet has insisted that the 20-year-old will not be allowed to leave the club during the January transfer window.

Duchatelet told Het Laatste Nieuws: "What is new is the interest of Arsenal in Michy. They're one of the many clubs who follow our striker, but we're not willing to let Michy go this season."

Batshuayi has also netted five times in 11 appearances for Belgium's Under-21 side.
