Barcelona club president Joan Laporta reaffirms his confidence in sealing the deadline day signing of Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta has reportedly claimed that the Catalan giants will secure the signature of Arsenal attacker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang today.

The Gabon international travelled to Barcelona early on deadline day to agree a loan deal, before rumours were reportedly quashed due to disagreements over financial clauses.

However, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano, the Blaugrana president is still confident of making a deal with the striker, saying: "It seems that we will pull it off."

The 32-year-old has not featured for the Gunners since early December, having fallen out with manager Mikel Arteta over disciplinary issues, leading to links with an exit from the Emirates Stadium.

Such a signing would be the Blaugrana's third arrival of the window, having already agreed a deal with Manchester City for Ferran Torres last year before academy graduate Adama Traore returned to the club on an initial loan deal from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
