Raheem Sterling insists that he is not thinking about his Manchester City future and he is set to put contact talks on hold until the end of the season.

Speculation over the 27-year-old's long-term future at the Etihad Stadium has been rife, with the forward set to enter the final 12 months of his contract in the summer.

Speaking to the press ahead of the first leg of City's Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid on Tuesday, Sterling stated that it would be "selfish" for him to talk about his future plans at present and insists that he is fully focused on his football.

"At the minute, I'm just happy to be playing, happy to be contributing with the team, I think that's the most important thing," Sterling told the Daily Telegraph.

"At this period, I think it would be selfish of me to speak of any contract situation and I'm just happy to be playing football and see where we are at the end of the season."

The likes of Barcelona, Arsenal and AC Milan have all been credited with an interest in signing Sterling, who has recorded 128 goals and 93 assists in 333 appearances for City across all competitions.
