Real Madrid allegedly plan to make a £43m move for Feyenoord forward Santiago Gimenez bring next summer's transfer window.

Real Madrid are reportedly planning to move for in-demand Feyenoord centre-forward Santiago Gimenez during next summer's transfer window.

The Mexico international's future is currently the subject of much speculation, with a number of clubs believed to be keen to sign him amid his excellent start to the campaign.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have all been credited with an interest, while Borussia Dortmund are also believed to be keeping a close eye on his situation in the Netherlands.

According to Fichajes, Real Madrid have identified the 22-year-old as their leading centre-forward target at the end of the 2023-24 campaign.

The report claims that Los Blancos have been informed that €50m (£43m) is likely to be enough to convince Feyenoord to let their striker leave next summer.

Gimenez has been in excellent form for his Dutch club at the start of the 2023-24 campaign, scoring 10 goals and registering two assists in eight appearances in all competitions.

The Mexican missed out against Celtic in the Champions League last month through suspension, with all 10 of his goals this term coming in the Eredivisie, including a hat-trick against Ajax on September 27.

The forward arrived at Feyenoord from Cruz Azul in 2022, and he has managed 33 goals and five assists in 53 appearances for his current side in all competitions.

Gimenez has another four years left to run on his contract, but the Dutch outfit are believed to already be planning for his departure next year due to the amount of interest.

Real Madrid are still intending to sign Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain next year, but it remains to be seen whether the club are finally able to land the France international.

Karim Benzema's departure over the summer led to Joselu being brought in on loan from Espanyol, and the Spain international has scored four La Liga goals this season.

Brahim Diaz was also brought back to Bernabeu following a loan spell at AC Milan, but Rodrygo, Vinicius Junior and Joselu have been the team's main attackers this season.

Real Madrid are said to be planning to move for a low-cost centre-forward next year alongside Mbappe, with Gimenez seemingly being identified as the best option on the market.

Los Blancos are currently preparing for their second match of the 2023-24 Champions League against Napoli, and they will enter the contest off the back of a 3-0 win over Girona in La Liga.
