Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that he has no intention of making an offer for Lyon's Yoann Gourcuff during the January transfer window.
The midfielder has repeatedly been linked with a switch to the Emirates Stadium, with Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas recently claiming that the Gunners attempted to sign the 25-year-old during the summer.
Wenger has admitted that he rates Gourcuff as a player, but has insisted that he has enough midfield options at his disposal.
"He is a player I like a lot and I believe people have been very critical towards him in France," Wenger told Canal+.
"However, we won't be in the winter market for any midfield positions considering that our players are back from injuries."
Gourcuff joined Lyon in 2010 from fellow Ligue 1 side Bordeaux.
