Sime Vrsaljko 'passes Atletico Madrid medical'

A report claims that Sassuolo defender Sime Vrsaljko has completed a medical with Atletico Madrid ahead a summer move to the Vicente Calderon.

Sassuolo defender Sime Vrsaljko has reportedly completed a medical with Atletico Madrid ahead a summer move to the Vicente Calderon.

The 24-year-old is currently representing Croatia at Euro 2016 and according to Marca, a medical was completed in France on Wednesday morning after Atletico and Sassuolo came to an agreement for the right-back.

Vrsaljko started his professional career with Dinamo Zagreb and won four league titles with the Croatian outfit before joining Genoa in 2014, where he spent just one season.

Atletico, who finished third in La Liga last season in addition to reaching the Champions League final, have already secured the signing of Nicolas Gaitan from Benfica this summer.
