Barcelona reportedly rejected the chance to sign Antoine Griezmann as a youngster after deeming the Frenchman 'too small'.
The 23-year-old joined Real Sociedad's youth academy in 2005 and progressed into the first team, where he starred for five seasons.
The attacker's form at Sociedad earned him a move to the Spanish champions Atletico Madrid last summer, where he has scored 13 goals in 27 matches this season.
However, according to Sport, Barcelona could have signed the forward for free when he was a youngster in France.
The report claims that Txiki Begiristain, who was director of football at Barca from 2003 until 2010, believed that Griezmann was 'too small' to make it in the game.
Griezmann has also scored five times in 14 games for France.
