Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly identified Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski as a potential summer signing.
The 33-year-old has enjoyed a legendary spell at the Allianz Arena, scoring 344 goals and winning 19 pieces of silverware during his eight-year stint.
However, the relationship between the player and club has broken down in recent weeks, the two parties in disagreement over Lewandowski seeing out the final year of his contract.
Rather than continuing to try to diffuse the situation, it appears that the Bundesliga champions face the prospect of having to try to reject more bids for their key man.
According to L'Equipe, PSG have been monitoring the situation and are prepared to get involved if it becomes apparent that Barcelona cannot get a deal over the line.

As it stands, Lewandowski is only interested in signing for the Catalan giants, a feeling which has already been acknowledged and widely reported.
However, Barcelona must raise substantial funds to be able to finalise a deal, the club also waiting to get the free transfers of Andreas Christensen and Franck Kessie made official.
Those deals will seemingly not get finalised until sales are made or more pay cuts are taken by big earners, and it leaves the potential for Lewandowski to have to remain patient to secure his ideal transfer.
Should Barcelona continue to struggle with their main task in hand, PSG are allegedly ready to make an official bid, most likely in excess of the proposal that Barcelona are capable of offering.
The Ligue 1 champions are also in a position where they would need to offload players with Neymar and Mauro Icardi both regarded as available if the price is right.

That particularly rings true for the latter who was restricted to just 10 starts in France's top flight and the Champions League last season due to the form of Kylian Mbappe and presence of Lionel Messi.
PSG are currently in the process of appointing a new head coach after it was widely reported at the weekend that Mauricio Pochettino had been sacked by the powers-that-be at Parc des Princes.
However, with sporting director Luis Campos having already started his new role and a managerial appointment in the offing, PSG will press on with their transfer plans for the summer.
If reports are to be believed, Inter Milan centre-back Milan Skriniar is another player on their radar ahead of 2022-23.
