Arsene Wenger has reportedly emerged as the favourite to become the new manager of Bayern Munich.
After parting ways with Nico Kovac at the weekend, Bayern are looking to appoint a replacement as soon as possible.
While the likes of Erik ten Hag and Thomas Tuchel have been linked with the position, the pair have each stated that they will remain at Ajax and Paris Saint-Germain respectively.
According to the Daily Mail, that has resulted in Bayern being prepared to hand Wenger a contract until the end of the season.
The report suggests that chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is due to hold talks with the Frenchman later this week.
Wenger has not featured in the dugout since ending his long-term association with Arsenal in May 2018.
