Borussia Dortmund defender Marcel Schmelzer is hopeful that the club can overcome Bayern Munich in the DFL-Supercup on Saturday.
The Champions League finalists have suffered an indifferent pre-season with a number of poor results and injuries, but the 25-year-old is confident that will change in the clash at the Signal Iduna Park.
"The Supercup is an official title, therefore it would be nice if we could win that too," he told reporters at a press conference.
"That's what we want because we can contest the final at home. In the first pre-season games we saw we already have a good side [without the new signings] and hopefully everyone will soon be fit."
Dortmund will be without new signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan for Saturday's clash.
