Lee Clark: 'We were unlucky to suffer defeat'

Birmingham City manager Lee Clark believes that his side were unlucky to be beaten by Wigan Athletic on Tuesday.

Lee Clark sympathised with his Birmingham City side after seeing them suffer a 1-0 defeat to Wigan Athletic on Tuesday night.

Birmingham occupy 22nd spot in the Championship with one game remaining in their season, and Clark has called on the players to deliver against Bolton Wanderers this Saturday following another disappointing evening.

"We deserved something but we never got the breaks," Clark told reporters. "It is never ideal, your gameplan, when 90 seconds into the game you are 1-0 down.

"We have to go to Bolton now and get a result and hopefully at least one other result goes in our favour.

"The players are believing but like I have said many times, don't talk the talk, walk the walk. Get out on the grass and deliver what has got to be delivered and that is what I will be looking for."

Blackpool, Millwall and Doncaster Rovers are the three other teams still at threat of relegation heading into the final set of fixtures.
