Chris Hughton won't comment on whether he will leave Birmingham City for West Bromwich Albion.

Birmingham City boss Chris Hughton is refusing to comment on rumours linking him with the vacant manager's position at West Bromwich Albion.

Albion will lose Roy Hodgson after Sunday's match with Arsenal as he prepares to take over as England manager ahead of Euro 2012, and Hughton has been touted to replace him at the Hawthorns.

The Blues will continue to play their football in the Championship next season after losing in the playoff semi-final to Blackpool 3-2 on aggregate. However, Hughton was reluctant to talk about whether he will still be a part of the club come the start of the next campaign.

"It's not a great question because at the moment my focus is very much on this team," Hughton told Sky Sports News.

Asked how he felt hearing the Birmingham fans chanting his name during the game, Hughton added: "It made me feel good. They have been super all season.

"We have allowed them to travel long and far to see us play, they have had plenty of games and they have had to spend an awful lot of money. Everything that they have given us, we are so appreciative of.

"They have supported myself, the staff and the team extremely well."

Hughton took over as manager of Birmingham in June last year.
