Eidur Gudjohnsen has admitted that it was an easy decision to return to Bolton Wanderers for the rest of the season.
The 36-year-old, who signed a short-term deal last week, spent two years with the Trotters before joining Chelsea in 2000.
Bolton confirmed on Tuesday that the former Barcelona and Monaco striker had officially completed a move to the Reebook Stadium after receiving international clearance.
"When it came up I really didn't think twice about coming here," he told Sky Sports News. "I've fond memories and I know my surroundings.
"I had a chat with Neil Lennon over a cup of coffee and had a good feeling about it. This is the outcome and it's a very pleasant surprise.
"The people here have probably got memories of a young, fresh boy with fresh legs and I can say now it's a more developed payer with slightly older legs but a quicker mind."
Gudjohnsen had been without a club after leaving Club Brugge in the summer.
