Burnley striker Rouwen Hennings has been allowed to join Bundesliga 2 side Fortuna Dusseldorf on a season-long loan deal.
Last August, the Clarets spent £3m on the 28-year-old but his move to Turf Moor has not worked out and the German made just three starts and 23 substitute appearances in the Championship.
After Burnley's promotion to the Premier League, he faced limited opportunities to contribute to the first team and that has seen the club let him gain senior football back in his homeland.
Before moving to Burnley, Hennings scored 18 times for second-tier Karlsruhe in the 2014-15 campaign.
