Peter Murphy has been named as one of seven players who will not have their contracts renewed by Carlisle United this summer.
The 32-year-old has spent 12 years at Brunton Park, but the club have decided that his services are no longer required.
The defender has been joined by Adam Collin, Rory Loy, Mathieu Manset, Jon-Paul McGovern, Frank Simek and Andy Welsh, who will also leave the club in June.
However, Matt Robson has been handed a two-year contract, while Paul Thirlwell, Lee Miller and Josh Todd have been offered one-year deals.
Carlisle finished the League One campaign in 17th place.
