Celtic manager Neil Lennon has called for England to call up striker Gary Hooper.
The 24-year-old scored all four goals in the Hoops' 4-1 demolition of Raith Rovers in the League Cup last night, with his boss describing him as "phenomenal" afterwards.
"In Hooper we have a phenomenal player. It's not just his goals, his play in general is of a very high standard," the Daily Record quotes Lennon as saying.
"He's an intelligent footballer, quick over five yards and his touch is sublime at times.
"We do ask a lot of him when we're short of strikers but he's led the line brilliantly for us this season and I think he is good enough to play for England."
Celtic's great rivals Rangers will join them in the quarter-finals of the competition after defeating Motherwell 2-0 this evening.
