Branislav Ivanovic hopes that Chelsea can finish the season on a high and win the Europa League on Wednesday evening.

Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic is hoping to finish the season on a high with a win in the Europa League final.

The Serbian international admits that the season has not gone how Chelsea wanted, but a win on Wednesday night would make up for it somewhat.

Ivanovic says that it will be a tough match against Benfica, but he insists that Chelsea will do all they can to win the game.

"All the season has been difficult," Ivanovic said. "But now is almost the end of the season and we have to do everything to finish the job off.

"It was very disappointing for us to go out of the Champions League. We have tried to motivate ourselves to do our best in the Europa League.

"It's very important for us as a group to get the chance to finish the season with a trophy."

Chelsea face Benfica on Wednesday evening.
