Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic reportedly apologises to the entire team for two individual errors that led to Swansea City's goals in their first-leg semi-final victory in the League Cup.

Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic has reportedly apologised to his teammates for his sloppy defending that led to Swansea City's League Cup first-leg semi-final victory over the Blues at Stamford Bridge.

The Welsh side snatched a 2-0 win last night due to two errors by Ivanovic, which allowed Michu and Danny Graham to take advantage and put their side in a strong position heading into the second leg.

It is understood that the Serbia international had to be calmed down in the dressing room because he was furious with his performance and decided to apologise to the whole squad for his mistakes, according to the Daily Mail.

Despite the defender's blunders, interim boss Rafael Benitez has refused to place blame on the 28-year-old.
