Chelsea have reportedly decided to monitor any developments regarding Antonio Conte before coming to an agreement over paying up the remainder of his contract.
The Blues made the decision to part company with Conte before the start of the new season, but the Italian still had a year left on his deal at Stamford Bridge.
Both parties have disagreed over what the 49-year-old is due in compensation, and according to The Telegraph, there are no signs that a compromise is close to being reached.
Conte is currently being linked with a number of different positions all around Europe, and accepting a new role could reduce any fee that he could receive from Chelsea.
The report suggests that the Blues are prepared to bide their time on the matter as the likes of Manchester United, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich all remain as potential destinations for Conte.
