Branislav Ivanovic has welcomed Marko Marin to Chelsea and has said that he hopes to use his Serbian roots to help his new teammate settle at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea announced the signing of Marin from Werder Bremen in April, but he made his first appearance at the Chelsea training ground on Friday.
Ivanovic admits that the German playmaker, who also has a Serbian background, has already made an instant impression on him.
Ivanovic told Chelsea's official website: "We met during the 2010 World Cup, but we trained together for the first time today and I feel very positive about him.
"He feels confident, but like Marko, I speak the Serbian language too, so I will try and help him."
Marin is the second midfielder to join Chelsea this summer, following Edin Hazard's introduction in June.
