Loic Remy thrilled by Chelsea debut

Loic Remy claims that his Chelsea debut could not have gone better after coming off the bench to score during Saturday's win over Swansea.

Chelsea striker Loic Remy has claimed that his debut for the club could not have gone better after finding the net during Saturday's 4-2 victory over Swansea City.

The summer signing from Queens Park Rangers came off the bench to score late on at Stamford Bridge as the Blues continued their winning start to the season.

The 27-year-old France international now hopes to provide Jose Mourinho's side with more goals as the campaign progresses.

"It was a good day for all the team, but especially for me," he told the club's official website. "I was very excited before the game because it was the first time for me on the bench with this team.

"The team played very well, the result is very good for us and I came on and scored which is what you ask for as a striker. I was very happy to score this goal and I will try to keep going."

Chelsea play their first match of this season's Champions League on Wednesday night when they host Schalke 04.
