Chelsea team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Tottenham Hotspur

Sports Mole rounds up Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

Chelsea play host to Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday afternoon knowing that they must avoid defeat in order to remain in fourth position in the Premier League standings.

Having lost out to Manchester United on Monday evening, the Blues sit just one point above their London rivals in the race for a Champions League spot.

Ahead of an important period for the club, Frank Lampard is also having to contend with a growing injury list, keeping the pressure on the club legend and his inconsistent squad.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash at Stamford Bridge.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek

Status: Out
Type of injury: Achilles
Possible return date: Unknown

While Loftus-Cheek is taking part in drills on the training ground, the midfielder remains out of contention as he looks to return from an Achilles injury.

Christian Pulisic

Possible return date: February 22 (vs. Spurs)

Although Pulisic was pencilled in to make his return on Monday, the United States international did not feature in the 18-man squad. At this stage, it is unclear when the winger will come back into contention.

Possible return date: February 22 (vs. Spurs)

Despite featuring against Leicester City at the start of the month, Lampard has revealed that Abraham has not fully recovered from the ankle injury sustained against Arsenal on January 21. However, the Blues boss has revealed that the striker is back in training.

Callum Hudson-Odoi
