Chelsea have reportedly ended their pursuit of centre-backs Jules Kounde and Marquinhos, as they turn their attention to Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt.
The Blues spent a large portion of the summer transfer window chasing Kounde, but were said to be put off by Sevilla's £70m valuation by the Frenchman.
Such a setback saw the London side switch their attention to Paris Saint-Germain captain Marquinhos, but they are now said to have put their interest in the duo to an end and switch their focus.
According to the Daily Star, Thomas Tuchel's side are now focussed on bringing Dutch centre-back De Ligt to Stamford Bridge over the summer, with the 22-year-old being their top target.
After reaching the Champions League semi-finals with boyhood club Ajax, the Dutchman joined the Turin outfit for a fee in the region of £75m in the summer of 2019.
Since then, he has turned out 80 times for the Old Lady, adding a Serie A, a Coppa Italia and a Supercoppa Italiana to his personal trophy cabinet.
