Chelsea reportedly intend to rival Manchester City in the race to sign Aston Villa playmaker Jack Grealish.

Chelsea reportedly have 'concrete interest' in signing Aston Villa playmaker Jack Grealish during the summer transfer window.

The Blues are expected to pursue a number of high-profile additions having won the Champions League for the second time in their history.

While securing the signature of Erling Braut Haaland is top of Roman Abramovich's wish list, it appears that the Chelsea owner is also keen to see Grealish arrive at Stamford Bridge.

According to Football Insider, Abramovich has made it known that he is prepared to meet Villa's asking price for the England international.

Chelsea are best placed to rival Manchester City for Grealish's services, something which may eventually cost in the region of £100m.

Despite not wanting to sell their best player, Villa are assessing their options in the transfer market on the back of having already signed Emiliano Buendia from Norwich City.
