Chelsea are set to lose out to Paris Saint-Germain in the race to sign Porto defender Alex Telles, according to a report.

Chelsea are reportedly set to lose out to Paris Saint-Germain in the race to sign Porto left-back Alex Telles.

Telles will see his current deal in Portugal run out in the summer of 2021, and the 27-year-old has already garnered significant interest from several top clubs.

Chelsea have been persistently linked with the Brazilian in recent weeks, while Juventus have also been credited with an interest.

However, according to Brazilian outlet GauchaZH, the versatile defender is set to join the ranks at PSG.

The report claims that the Ligue 1 champions are close to agreeing a deal for Telles, and the Brazil international is likely to cost between €20m (£17.5m) and €25m (£21.8m).

The former Galatasaray man has registered eight goals and five assists during the 2019-20 Liga NOS campaign.
