Raul Albiol considering Napoli future amid Chelsea reports?

Napoli defender Raul Albiol is reportedly considering his future at the Serie A giants, with reports linking the Spaniard with a switch to Chelsea.

Napoli defender Raul Albiol has reportedly started to contemplate where he sees the next stage of his career.

Albiol has spent the last five years in Naples, making 202 appearances in all competitions, but boss Maurizio Sarri has been replaced by Carlo Ancelotti in the dugout.

However, Sarri allegedly wants to take the 32-year-old to Stamford Bridge should he be appointed as the new Blues head coach, although it appears that a transfer for Albiol is not a certainty.

According to Corriere del Mezzogiorno, Ancelotti has already contacted the Spaniard to reassure him over his future in Naples, yet a move to Chelsea would be more lucrative.

The report also suggests that Villarreal are monitoring the situation and could be prepared to offer Albiol the chance to return to La Liga, where he has previously played for Valencia.

Albiol has two years remaining on his existing deal.
