Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel is reportedly pushing for his club to move for Real Madrid centre-back Eder Militao during this summer's transfer window.
The 24-year-old has benefited from the departures of Raphael Varane and Sergio Ramos to become an important player for Los Blancos, making 30 appearances in all competitions this term.
Militao still has three-and-a-half years left to run on his contract at Bernabeu, but there have been suggestions that Real Madrid are keen to discuss an extension with the Brazil international.
According to AS, Chelsea boss Tuchel is a huge admirer of the central defender and has instructed the European Cup holders to move for him ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.
Militao, who is believed to be one of the lowest earners at Real Madrid despite his importance, made the move to the Spanish giants from Porto in July 2019.
Chelsea could lose central defenders Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen and Cesar Azpilicueta on free transfers at the end of June.
