Paul Dickov: 'Doncaster Rovers need to be more clinical'

Doncaster Rovers manager Paul Dickov believes that his side need to be more clinical to win matches in the Championship.

Doncaster Rovers manager Paul Dickov believes that his side were not clinical enough as they lost their opening Championship fixture 3-1 to Blackpool at home.

The hosts managed to fight back from a first-half Steven Davies goal with Rob Jones equalising on the hour mark, but two further strikes condemned Rovers to defeat.

"The biggest disappointment was the goal we conceded from a set piece at 1-1. We had worked hard to get back into it," Dickov told reporters.

"I thought we played well but it goes to show this is a tough league. You have to be more clinical."

Doncaster's next league game is against Blackburn Rovers on Friday, August 16.
